Drumcomputer MFB-503

Amazing little rhythm box from Berlin, 2013; a great, informative review can be found on the Sound On Sound website. The 909 to the 808 MFB-522, they say. I don't know about that, but to my ears it sounds way better than the 909 Roland Boutique, that's for sure.

This being being MFB, it has two quirks, despite having been serviced twice – they don't really impair functionality, and not at all when using this as a sound module (which I did most of the time and can recommend since figuring out the workflow might be a bit of a challenge, though possible (the manual is helpful, for a change), but, full closure and just so you know:
1. The knobs need to be twisted slowly, with some tender loving care, in the higher regions of the sound parameters. If this sounds confusing, it is, so I will make a short video to explain; and
2. Despite being fixed, the first knob at the left can make a short noise when pressed – you only need it to adjust the Drive and Attack parameters of the kick, though, and nothing else. I will adress this in the video as well, if you want.

To be sure, those two caveats are by no means biggies – for me they weren't at all, anyway. This is a great little drummachine with big sounds … a bit to big and hard-hitting for the stuff I'm doing recently, though, using the more lo-fi and older school MFB 502 (and wanting an MFB Kult, for which I'd be willing to trade), and it's been sitting there on the shelf for almost a year now, which can't be right. Fixed price until I win the lottery. Will be send insured via registered mail. Pick-up possible somewhere next week in Noordwijk, ZH. Buyer protection optional. Oh, and I'll probably change my mind about selling, so be quick or sorry. Just saying, But don't buy this impulsively, it's too dear for that, and capitalism is bad, etc., but what are you gonna do? I have some ideas, but that's another story and will probably get me into trouble. Make drumpatterns, not war. Cheers!
