Prachtige met de hand gebouwde Takamine TH5C (december 2007) met een echt buizen pre-amp die al bijna 2 decennia in zijn koffer ligt. Ik speel uitsluitend elektrisch en akoestisch met stalen snaren. Ondanks dat ik er nooit afscheid van wilde doen en er ooit opnames mee wilde maken heb ik besloten haar toch maar van de hand te doen, mede om plaats te maken voor een andere gitaar!
Hij is in bijna nieuwstaat (behalve de snaren) met uitzondering van twee amper zichtbare deukjes in de lak. Met bijbehorende koffer, die leveren ze niet eens meer bij de opvolger.
Geweldig klinkende gitaar. Ceder top met palissander zij- en achterkant zorgen voor een zowel warme klank als heldere sprankelende projectie.

The Takamine Cooltube (CTP-2) is the first and only on-board tube preamp for acoustic guitar. Featuring a 12AU7 (ECC82) valve, it delivers a warm, rich harmonic tone available from no other preamp. Furthermore, due to the unique low voltage circuit designed by Takamine, the tube does not glow or radiate high levels of heat which could damage the tone woods of the guitar. Powered by 4 AA batteries, the Cooltube preamp features 3 band shelving EQ, a built in chromatic tuner, and an auxiliary input with blend control for adding a secondary pickup such as the Tri-Ax® This new version, the CTP-2, differs from its predecessor, the CTP-1, in the following ways;
Lower noise
Quicker tube warm up time
An independent on/off switch on the back of the pick up
No ‘volume swell’ when increasing the tube level on the preamp
