not sure how 'weird' they are – most synths are pretty weird, if you ask me. try it. well, those yamaha reface things, they're almost normal. ish. but still freaking weird, if you think about it, esp. if you do this for a very, very long time while under the influence. strongly recommended, and more so with one, or two, or all three of these nearby ('set' and 'setting' and all):

Realistic Concertmate SK-5, a Casio SK-5 in just-like-some-friend-you-met-at-some-concert or something disguise – and that's not the mostinteresting part here, because that would be the MIDI I/O mod that this one has been modded with. more fun than 99 % of all other things in life. super fun. 300,-

Casio CT-6000; i love this thing. but it's quite big, quite a bit too quite big for the available space here, really – and it's really, really heavy. so come pick it up, if you dare. shipping can be discussed though, no problem. it has midi which – esp. combined with those funny/stupid/cool accomp's casio used to be totally, weirdly in love with at the time, makes for some superior fun, easily at the level of the midified sk-5 fun, which also goes for the boris jeltsin of weird synths (275,- btw), the almighty

Akai Timbre Wolf! nuff said (333,-), and now, let's hear it for the

Korg Poly 800 with inverted keys which make it the coolest looking synth i can think of right now, bit weird but in a good way plus with the very essential 'moog slayer mod' (look it up), which also makes it cool sounding! without it, well, i don't know what – if korg was thinking at the time. and what are they thinking now? 399,- and it's worth it, too.
