Interesting year struck in Athens with very fine script of the Obv. This coin with idol won the prize of the best euro coin. For varieties lovers: recently with help of this very set presence of bid size rim on regular coins was discovered by the seller and the standard classification was enriched.
This set consists of 2 coins with two different rims r2 (the top one on the images) and r3 (the bottom one on the images) and represents two completely different visions of font size, it is either big or very big. Unexpectedly both rims shows the same asymmetric feature: letter "U" in Turkish "2 EURO" is wide in the first segment and narrow in the second (see enlargements). The difference is impressive! For high interest of collectors to varieties the standard classification was published in Cyprus section of comprehensive catalog "VARIETIES OF EURO COINS" with images of this very set for easy attribution.
