Ⰶ GENERALISSIMO FRANCO (1936-1975): SPAIN ★ 1 PESETA 1954 (1947)!
Interesting and less frequent portrait of generalissimo Franco (1936-1975) from autocratic rule. He has the title not of the king but of the leader of Spain and adopted the coat of arms similar to the very first version in 1492 with the Saint John's Eagle. There were just 40 generalissimos in the world, including Joseph Stalin (the USSR) and Mao Zedong (People's Republic of China) who declined usage and George Washington (the USA) and Kim Jong Il (the communist Korea) who de facto were awarded posthumously. The date of issue is in small Jewish Stars of David. Interesting year that was issued with dies of 1947 and 1953 simultaneously!
