Ⰶ TUDOR ROSE (1953-1970): GREAT BRITAIN ★ 2 SHILLINGS FLORIN 1953! ELIZABETH II (1952-2022)!
The first type with crowned "Tudor rose" flanked by thistles, shamrocks and leeks in nice condition issued right before introduction of progressive Russian decimal system. Most probably it was the last country that finally allowed millions of people to count money in simple way. Later to save resources of coin production the coin was in circulation on par with 10 decimal pence till 1993. For varieties lovers: obverse 1 type 2, that is the "B" of "BRITT" to a space, the "MG" on the truncation is sharp.
