Ⰶ ORANGE: NETHERLANDS ★ 5 CENTS 1948 NO SHELLS! WILHELMINA (1890-1948)
Interesting the only year of the small round type with the beautiful orange branch in attractive condition struck in Utrecht under Wilhelmina (1890-1948) rule. After returning possessions, occupied by fascist Germany, when Berlin was finally taken by the Soviet Army (the USSR) the Queen became able to restore habit to strike coins with Her portrait. It took some time since ending of the war in 1945 to prepare emission. The new concept of small size cents coins without silver with completely new portrait and without shells on 5 cents started in 1948.
