This is an original japanese mega Drive 2. The logos on the shell are only barely visible but the system function is perfect.
I installed the triple bypass (3bp) mod which improves the audio and video of the system. This console is now RGB only, with 75ohm and TTL csync still available.
The Openheart mod has been installed which lets you change between USA and Japanese mode, adds overclocking ability (press controller combo to enable and disable overclock), and in game reset functionality.
This specific unit does not support 50hz output. The reason for this is due to the VDP chip, 315-5660-10, lacking 50hz mode. When open heart attempts to switch to PAL, it generates 60hz but with the PAL system clock. In USA/Japan modes it switches back to the NTSC clock. But it always remains 60hz.
