The device in the pictures is a Sony RFU Adaptor (model RFU-90E).
This accessory was used with older Sony PlayStation consoles (PS1 and PS2) to connect them to a TV via the RF (antenna) input.
• The plug with two pins (seen in your second photo) connects to the PlayStation’s AV Multi Out port.
• The coaxial port (labeled “RF OUT”) connects to the TV’s antenna input.
• The switch on the adaptor lets you choose between Channel 3 or 4, which was how you tuned the TV to get the console’s signal.
So this device is part of the original PlayStation (PS1) and compatible with PlayStation 2.
