The 4-element Yagi 278Y4 represents a significant advancement in the development of the Yagi-Uda SmarTech 2.0 systems, characterized by a low-noise front-end and overall high-quality performance.
The antenna is directly fed with a 50 ohm cable, and does not suffer from efficiency losses and deterioration of characteristics over time, typical of gamma match systems with low-quality dielectrics (such as RG-8, RG-213...).

Its weight of 9 kg (20lb) makes it easy and fast to install. It can be mounted on rotors and supports for TV use, or on lightweight setups for temporary use, such as for portable use. It comes in a single package with a length of about 200 cm and includes an assembly manual with detailed descriptions and explanatory drawings with many details.

This antenna is specifically designed for use across the entire 27-28 MHz band, which allows it to maintain its characteristic performance almost unchanged over the entire useful band. The low SWR that can be observed even at the band extremes and the absence of low-quality matching systems give the 278Y4 high efficiency characteristics, allowing for the use of high power and making the use of power amplifiers safe and easy.
