March 2013 saw the release of the “celebrate: the greatest hits” compilation, which was to be showcased on the 2014 european tour: together with fans, the group celebrated its greatest hits on an extended concert tour.

With no support acts simple minds performed the show in two-parts with an interval, so every “best of” evening was a pure simple minds festival! Fans could take away a special memento of their very own live experience immediately after the concert to enjoy as often as they like. Using multi-track audio technology, professional sound engineers recorded each show from start to finish – including any announcements and encores.


The bleecker street entertainment team produced these live recordings each evening, which were available in mp3 (320 kbps) format on special usb sticks featuring the tour logo and presented in their own case.
