This button lock flipper folder had its first production run in late 2014. From looking at the current knife trends, it seems we may have been onto something: take a time-tested button lock mechanism, add a simple opening device and place the blade between bearings. Overbuild everything into a solid working knife and the 451 BLF is the result.

Offered in either titanium or aluminum handles with premium CPM blade steel, it uses a stout 5/16" diameter hardened stainless steel button lock as both the closed detent and as the open lock.

The blade runs on grade 10, 440C caged bearings and .020" thick thrust washers on the handle sides. The flipper tab on the tang of the blade allows for easy one-hand opening and serves as a finger guard in the open position.
