Set of 10 Rafflesia Flower design vintage Plates. Made by Kiln Craft Staffordshire Potteries.
In 3 colours:

These stoneware Side / Cake / bread-and-butter / dessert plates are a fantastic retro design, from the 1970's.
I believe this date from 1976
Rafflesia are a genus of parasitic flowering plants in the family Rafflesiaceae.
The species have enormous flowers, the buds rising from the ground or directly from the lower stems of their host plants; the largest flowers in the world. From Borneo Sabah and Sarawak and Indonesia.
This pattern is very rare and is now very hard-to-find, 1970s Kiln Craft pattern Festival features a large red Brown Rafflesia flower in the center surrounded by leaves and outlined in dark brown with a dark brown edge and embossed edge details.
Approximate measurements: 16.5cm / 6-1/2" in diameter with raised sides and a brown edge.
THIS LISTING PRICE IS FOR ALL10 PLATES
In very good condition with NO! chips, nicks or cracks, Light signs of being stacked and used, The original black transfer makers marks on the backs have come off with washing. Please study the photos to gauge the condition for yourself
