Verveen was known for his masterful depiction of port cities and shipping, capturing the play of light, water reflections and the characteristic activity of the port. His works are valued for their technical finesse and realistic style, which transport the viewer to a nostalgic, authentic moment in the history of the port of Rotterdam. Verveen studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam, where he was taught by renowned artists such as Wim van Dordt and Gerard Wiegman, which is clearly reflected in his refined brushwork and eye for detail. This painting is a unique opportunity to add a piece of Rotterdam's rich maritime past to your collection or interior. Perfect for collectors and lovers of nautical art.Advertentienummer: m2286185634
