Pioneer - PL-12 Platenspeler

This Pioneer PL-12 belt-drive turntable is in excellent condition and works great. It was fully serviced and runs very stable and smooth on both 33 and 45 rpm. The PL-12 is a highly charming Japanese classic – well-built, precise, and wonderful to look at.
The PL-12 is a fully manual belt-driven turntable equipped with a static-balanced S-shaped tonearm. Speed selection is easily done by flipping the rpm switch. The die-cast aluminium platter is driven by a 4-pole synchronous motor known for its stability and low noise.
A Nagaoka JT-311 cartridge is mounted and aligned. The stylus is in tested good condition and delivers a warm and smooth sound. The tonearm includes a seperate anti-skating weight and a smooth lift mechanism. This is a , pure and reliable turntable.
The plinth has a warm walnut veneer in great condition and delivers a timeless, vintage appearance. The smoked acrylic dust cover is in excellent condition, clean and smooth and shows only very light marks. The hinges let the lid stand with confidence.
During servicing all moving parts were cleaned and relubricated, including the spindle. The turntable has new suspension foam and is upgraded with a brand new WIMA MKP-X2 capacitor to ensure at least another lifetime of use.
Included are the original rubber matt with silver inner ring, and the original anti-skating weight. Also included are the original Japanese left-right audio cable labels for collecting purposes.
The turntable will be packaged with great care – based on extensive experience in shipping vintage audio – using a strong box, multiple layers of bubble wrap and foam padding, and with all loose parts secured.
