With a heavy heart, we are selling our beautiful camper bus (608D raised and extended once), because we are buying land in Porugal.

It concerns a reclassified Mercedes 608 from 1973 (classic car). You can drive the bus with a standard B driving license.
Mechanically in good condition (OM 314 industrial engine), starts and runs well. Consumes only 1l of Oil on 1.000 km, and 12l diesel on 100km! Properly maintained with necessary replacements. (engine was overhauled about 15 years ago by the previous owner)
The bus is equipped with, among other things:
- solar pannel
- fairly new front tires
- large stainless steel water tank
- large diesel tank
- 2 gas bottles under the bus
- 2 large household batteries (1.5 years old)
- reversing lights under the rear of the camper
- lights all around the bus - Sun panel (can remain for an additional charge)
Point of attention:
there is rust near the corner of the windscreen and the triangular side window on both sides (see photos). Also, small cracks near the rear wheel arch (see photos). This work needs to be done, costs approx. 3k if made professionally.
The exhaust should also be overhauled.
The bus has been treated and reinforced underneath.
The chassis is solid all around.
The interior is nicely finished with wood and has a seating area that can also be converted into a bed.
There is also a large wardrobe and a kitchenette with sink, faucet, stove, lower and upper cabinets. The main bed is above the rear area, with an additional storage space underneath.
Work done during the last 7 years:
- new front and rear brakes
- new wheel brake cylinder
- new master brake cylinder
- front axle completely overhauled
- new steering push rod
- new front shock absorbers
- new alternator
- clutch new
- pressure plate & release bearing new
- welded oil pan
- new gear oil, motor oil, and all filters
All in all, it’s a wonderful bus that has been very well maintained.
These buses need some attention, but then you can get an incredible amount of enjoyment out of them!!
