Bear paw
-120mm carbon steel blade.
-Handle of curly birch/elm, dyed.
-Tanned leather sheath.

The blades on my knives are high quality carbon steel, cut, forged and tempered by Lauri’s Metal (brass fittings come from the same manufacturer). The blades consistently come with same high quality and hardness (59 HRC).
I always grind and polish all the blades and consider that a VERY IMPORTANT stage of puukko making. That way I can take out “forge markings” and get the blades extremely sharp. Without that stage the blades are unfinished. Some users prefer second bevel and this can be easily done later.
