In this position, you’ll lead by example—ensuring the highest engineering quality across disciplines, supporting the Senior Project Engineer, and playing a pivotal role in turning technical concepts into buildable, functional, and beautiful superyachts. You'll support the Senior Project Engineer in overseeing the engineering scope, ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards and are ready for production and beyond.

What You’ll Do:

 Oversee the completion of detailed design, engineering documentation, and 3D modeling.
 Mentor and coach engineers and apprentices, providing guidance, technical reviews, and support during inspections.
 Safeguard compliance with industry standards, classification rules, and flag requirements.
 Address technical challenges by collaborating with specialists across disciplines.
 Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project standards.
 Contribute to the development and refinement of internal engineering procedures and best practices.
 Align with production teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure technical feasibility and execution readiness.
 Support the Senior Project Engineer in driving progress and maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Functie-eisen

 A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
 At least 5 years of engineering experience within the shipbuilding or yacht construction sector.
 Proficiency with 3D AutoCAD, and ideally experience with Teamcenter and Cadmatic.
 Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
 Strong experience with exterior engineering, outfitting, moving equipment, and technical integration.
 Understanding of cable and panel planning, onboard systems, and weight/budget control.
 Deep insight into yacht construction processes, production techniques, and engineering coordination.
 An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
