Pair of African Warthog Tusks in Bone with Brass and Wooden Bases – Spain, circa 1960
Description
Elegant decorative pair of African warthog tusks (Phacochoerus africanus), made of bone and mounted on square wooden bases with gilded brass elements.
The pieces feature a distinctive curved and elongated shape, with pronounced longitudinal grooves running along their entire surface. The ivory-coloured finish, combined with brownish tones and natural-looking variations, gives the pair a strong sculptural and decorative character.
The tusks are presented as a matching pair, designed to be displayed together. Each piece is mounted on a geometric square base made of wood, incorporating a gilded brass plinth and decorative brass details.
