With this adapter you can connect both 24 VDC power and Modbus data between 3 RJ45 connectors and 1 pluggable terminal block. Ideal for making connections in your Power over Modbus (PoM) network. Because, in addition to the 3 RJ45 connectors, a pluggable terminal block is also provided, it is also possible to connect devices that are not equipped with the RJ45 PoM connector to your PoM network. This adapter simplifies wiring and guarantees reliable connections. The terminal block is pluggable. This means that you can first terminate it on the network cable, after which you can simply slide it into the adapter.

Power over Modbus (PoM) is similar to Power over Ethernet (PoE). This adapter facilitates the connection of a Sentera product with terminal block to a PoM network with RJ45 connectors. Many Sentera products can be connected via an RJ45 connector. This cabling method is safe, efficient and simple. Both the Modbus RTU communication and the 24 VDC power supply are distributed via the RJ45 connector. We call this Power over Modbus or PoM. This adapter can be used to connect both Sentera products with terminal block and Sentera products with RJ45 together to the same Modbus RTU network.
