The STRS4-12 transformer controller, or position controller for fans, has a TK protection and it regulates the speed of three-phase fans up to 1.2 A. And it does this in an extremely smooth way. Thanks to the autotransformers, the motor receives a reduced, but nicely formed sinusoidal voltage. This makes the motor run smoothly and will make it last longer. With the rotary knob you can choose from 5 positions or speeds. There is an additional unregulated output of 230 VAC. As soon as the rotary knob turns from the zero position, this output is activated. You can then connect a valve or in-operation signal lamp to this, for example. The STRS4 series is available in different strengths ranging from 1.2 to 14 A. And there is also a single-phase version: the STRS1 series.

5-position speed controller with autotransformer(s)
The STRS4 is a speed controller for three-phase motors. There are also versions for single-phase motors . The position controllers for single-phase motors have one autotransformer , the versions for three-phase motors have 2 autotransformers . You can select one of the 5 speeds using the built-in switch. Autotransformer technology is very reliable and robust. It generates a motor voltage with a perfect sinusoidal shape, just like the mains voltage. This results in exceptionally quiet motor operation and a longer lifespan. A special impregnated coating reduces the electrical noise of the autotransformers .The STRS4 is the basic model (like the STR-4) but with an additional TK connectionIf your motor is equipped with a TK connection for its thermal protection, you can connect this TK to the STRS4 controller. As soon as the motor overheats, it opens its TK contact, causing the STRS4 to stop supplying power to the motor. After this, you can look for the cause of this overheating. This is usually because the motor draws too much current, which in turn is caused by e.g. a blockage, friction, defective bearings, etc. There is also a single-phase version of the STRS1: the STRS1. This fan speed controller requires no configuration. Once installed, it can be used. Unregulated output
The STR series has an additional unregulated output (230 VAC). This is active as soon as the motor is switched on. It can be used to control an external operating indicator, a damper, etc.
For example, when the fan is switched off, the dampers are closed. When the fan is active, the damper opens.

Robust housing
The housing of the STRS4 models is made of high-quality steel. It is surface-mounted and offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dirt, dust and moisture.
