Wool is a natural body temperature regulator, especially when worn against the skin. Wool is excellent at absorbing and repelling moisture. Wool is also breathable even when damp, allowing air to circulate and preventing the baby’s bum from getting damp. Thanks to the wool diaper cover, a damp diaper stays at the same temperature as the body, and the baby won't feel cold even out of doors in winter.


The idea for ImseVimse was born from the founder, Marie Walleberg, insight, she realized that cotton cloth diapers (with wool covers treated with lanolin over) were the solution for her child's diaper rash.

Even if you do very gently machine wash (never put them in the dryer!), you still need a good wool wash. A good wool washing product that contains some lanolin is important. Your wool covers will leak or the wool will become dried out if the lanolin is stripped from them with regular wool or delicate wash products. I still strongly recommend handwashing and occasional lanolization, but if you must machine wash, this is the best bet for a wool cover. Washing is needed only very infrequently, sometimes only once a month. Wool airs out to fresh easily. These work well for day or night.
