Barrel-Aged Blue Suede Shews is our Blueberry mead with Cashews, aged in Journeyman Barrels for almost 2 years.
It isn’t often that we’re surprised by flavors we get out of barrels, but this particular product was impacted significantly by the previous life of the oak. Massive waves of Butterscotch, caramel, toffee, vanilla and bourbon spice impacted the nut profile in unexpected ways that made us want to release this one without adjuncts despite our original plans for the liquid. Buttery, savory, bold.
