Korean Gate Monthly Calendar - Made of Brass with card inserts. - Made in Korea Probably after the 625 war (Korean War 1950 - 1953). Collectibles.
This rare piece of Korean folk art. Probably dates from the period after 1953.
It was probably made for the souvenir market and would have originally been taken home by a visitor or serving Soldier.
It stamped marked on the back "Made in Korea".
The card insert has the following Details Korean Brass "Gate Calendar" Made by Samuel W. Lee & Co Seoul, Korea.
All card parts are included.
Every Month and combination of possible dates
The Gate could be modeled on one of the 8 Ancient Gates of Seoul - Possibly the Heunginjimun Gate, Seoul, Korea.
The Piece is in good, used condition, just light signs of wear - Please study the photos to gauge the condition for yourself.
