This SDX-DM electronic speed controller can handle a maximum motor current of 1.5 A. There is also a model that can handle up to 2.5 A. It controls the speed of fans equipped with a 230 VAC single-phase motor according to the principle of phase angle control (Triac technology). The microprocessor on board ensures whisper-quiet motor operation.
What makes it really exceptional is that it is equipped with Modbus RTU. This is not only useful for setting the various parameters, but the device can also be integrated into your Modbus RTU compatible building management system. Or you can connect it to the Webcloud. This in turn offers possibilities such as output override according to a specific weekly calendar, management of minimum and maximum speed, etc.
Thanks to the settings in the Modbus register, you can choose, among other things, whether the controller controls the speed clockwise from high to low speed or vice versa, and whether it accelerates with a slow start - soft start or at full speed - kick start.
The housing allows both flush-mounting and surface-mounting and the supply voltage is 230 VAC.

All settings of this controller can be adjusted and monitored via Modbus RTU communication. With the operating mode you determine whether the fan speed is controlled from high to low or from low to high. When starting up you can choose the soft start mode where the motor speed slowly increases to the desired speed, or the kick start mode where the motor always starts at maximum speed and then decreases to the desired speed. Thanks to Modbus you can integrate the device into your network and remotely see in which position the rotary knob is, and if desired you can even take over control via the internet. Via HVACweb this can also be programmed with a calendar or weekly schedule.Reduced installation time
The spring-loaded terminal block reduces wiring and installation time. It also eliminates the need for routine checks and ensures reliable contact for both solid and stranded wires.One housing, various mounting options
The housing is made of high-quality ASA plastic. This material is UV-resistant, protects against impact and has a beautiful finish. It protects the electronics against the ingress of dust, dirt and water. The protection class is IP44 for flush mounting and IP54 for surface mounting.
