Shaper Patrik Diethelm also favours a fairly classic, stretched outline with a narrow width. Apart from the fact that double strap plugs are not yet standard here, the QT-Wave's equipment with comfortable straps and thick pads is impressive. With the first gust, the board takes off powerfully and achieves a fast and sporty glide without lacking the necessary control. The QT-Wave therefore offers the best conditions for big jumps.

The performance when riding waves is also flawless, the board carves through the bottom turn like a slalom ski on a groomed piste. Thanks to its narrow width, the board can be easily edged rail-to-rail and steered precisely to the lip of the wave. On cutbacks, the shreds fly - because the narrow tail also allows radically tight turns. And also because the quad set-up allows the tail to break out in a very controlled manner and slide into tacas or lipslides. As expected, it is only in slack wind and wave conditions that the speed cannot be maintained quite as well.

surf conclusion: Fast, lively, easy to turn - the QT-Wave is a machine for good wave riders, but doesn't look out of place in the Baltic Sea chop either.
