De Renault 4L werd geproduceerd tussen 1961 en 1994. De 4L, ook wel uitgesproken als ‘Quatrelle’ of ‘Quatre ailes’, werd als tegenhanger van Citroëns 2CV op de markt gebracht. Tevens was het de eerste voorwielaangedreven familie-auto van Renault.  Het hier aangeboden exemplaar is in meerdere opzichten uniek te noemen. Naast het feit dat de two-tone grijs met donkerrode lak zeker opvalt, is bijna de gehele eigenaarhistorie bekend. Een van deze eigenaren is de Italiaanse zanger Adelmo ‘Zucchero’ Fornaciari.
